Eliza Gilkyson is a 2-time Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and activist who has become one of the most respected musicians in Folk, Roots and  Americana circles. She has appeared on NPR, Austin City Limits,  Mountain Stage and has toured  worldwide as a solo artist and in support of Richard Thompson, Patty Griffin, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Dan Fogelberg.

Her songs have been covered by Joan Baez, Bob Geldof, Tom Rush and Rosanne Cash and have appeared in film and on prime-time TV. She has been inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame and recognized with countless Austin Music and Folk Alliance awards. Eliza’s music has always offered a vivid reflection of the times we live in.

On stage, Eliza presents a vibrant spontaneous mix of storytelling with self-effacing humor and tenderness, within a wide-ranging spectrum of human experience, from intimate love songs to political diatribe, accompanied by some of the best players in the world.

Rooster Blackspur is a born and raised Alaskan Gal who gave up her wild life in the Last Frontier to pursue a calling; to be a full-time motivational musician with a message of no-nonsense, Love & Acceptance.

Drawn to the enchantment of the Southwest, Blackspur stuck gold when she stumbled into a quirky small desert town in New Mexico nearly 4 years ago.

Emerging from the influence of tireless sun and intense heat,  a new sound has been forged in this singer-songwriter, and unholy preacher,  the sounds of Southwestern-Soul.

The Kitchen Sink Studio, 528 Jose Street, Santa Fe, 87501

Southwest Roots Music and Santa Fe Performance Exchange present these two dynamic folk performers in concert.

After carving a career out of what some might call the shadows, guitarist Nina Gerber is at last beginning to dare the light. Her first album as a leader, Not Before Noon, follows two decades which brought her to prominence without ever placing her name on the front of an album cover. Since her accompaniment of Kate Wolf first earned her recognition, her acute skills as performer, producer and arranger have continued to deepen. Her contributions to acoustic music have earned her a following as loyal as for the numerous high talents she has accompanied – proving the shadows equal to the spotlight in the creation of honest, powerful, and beautiful music.
